Job Summary
The Social Media Coordinator will assist the social/digital team with the Tampa Bay Lightning (TBL) in collaborating, curating, and crafting social content for TBL and ancillary VSG social media accounts including the coverage of necessary team/organization games and events.
This individual will work with the Sr. Social Media Coordinator and Social Media Manager in managing and executing strategic social campaigns for the purpose of continuing to grow the TBL brand and support retail activity across Tampa Bay Sports channels.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as a contact along with the Sr. Social Media Coordinator in the running of all Tampa Bay Lightning social media accounts including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok, Snapchat, etc.
- Serve as the primary contact in running of all Tampa Bay Sports retail social media accounts including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and work alongside other members of the team on overall marketing strategy and support.
- Provide social support for other Vinik Sports Group internal accounts for entities such as Amalie Arena, Yuengling Center, Lightning Made Community Hockey, Lightning Foundation, ThunderBug, etc.
- Provide full social coverage of all Tampa Bay Lightning on and off ice events
- In conjunction with the Social Media Manager, develop a VSG social influencer and creator plan and serve as main point of contact for all VSG influencer relationships from micro influencers up to celebrity fans
- Work with designers, other creatives, and photographers to tailor content for social needs
- Complete seasonal recaps for content and sponsorships as requested
- Keep a consistent brand voice across all social channels
- Keep current on emerging social media trends and make recommendations on new opportunities
- Serve as liaison for all partnership social media contacts along with NHL league social media contacts
- Work and cover all home and away Tampa Bay Lightning games in conjunction with additional Social Media Coordinator
- Provide general office task assistance, including but not limited to, the creation of necessary calendars, recaps, reports, spreadsheets, creative requests, PTU’s, and purchase orders

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or relevant field
- Minimum 1-2 years marketing experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Direct experience running social media accounts for business including at a minimum Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
- Experience with Social Analytics tools such as Blinkfire, Sprout Social, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Social Studio, CrowdTangle, etc. a plus
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis on InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Photography skills/background a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively with multiple audiences
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Ability to clip and edit video, create GIFs, etc.
- Ability to prioritize and manage numerous projects simultaneously
- Self-motivated, with ability to work with minimal direct supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Journalism or Communications degree/experience a plus)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Working Conditions
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in office and arena environment that can be exciting, loud and distracting
- This is an onsite role; flexibility to work a minority of time remotely.
- Ability to work extended hours including late nights, holidays, and weekends as needed
- Ability to work prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift/carry/move up to 10lbs
- Ability to work in cold/hot indoor and outdoor temperatures
- Ability to use hands and fingers on office and mobile technology
- Ability to listen and speak on phone, in meetings, and in one-on-one conversations
- Ability to commute to various venues throughout the Greater Tampa Bay Area
- Ability to travel within the US and Canada for up to one-week at a time, multiple times per year
- Ability to work in areas that can become crowded with equipment and/or people
- Ability to move comfortable throughout the arena with minimal accommodations
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time, walk long distances and climb stairs.
- Ability to climb ladders, kneel, bend, stoop and squat without any physical movement restriction
- Ability to work comfortably at high heights using man lifts, truss, ladders, and catwalks
- Ability to work comfortable around special effects including, but not limited to: haze, strobe lights, lasers, etc.
