Job Title: Training Camp Assistant – Events Department: Events & Entertainment

Reports To: Sr. Events & Entertainment Coordinator & Manager Status: Non-Exempt (eligible for overtime)

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers organization is seeking qualified candidates for Training Camp Assistant positions. The Buccaneers are offering part-time, temporary, paid positions to highly motivated and committed individuals wishing to build upon their education and professional experience with practical experience in the fast-paced world of the National Football League.

The Buccaneers Training Camp Assistant program will begin mid-July and end in late August. Applicants must be able to work flexible and some unusual hours including nights and weekends according to the team schedule throughout Training Camp.

Core Functions

  • Assist in the execution of Training Camp logistics including but not limited to camp set-up before camp opens, throughout the duration of camp and breakdown when camp completes
  • Support all needs related to partner activations, food and beverage, giveaways/promotions, youth activations, player autograph sessions as well as any other elements geared toward fan engagement
  • Execute different themed days including; Krewe Member Days, Military Day, Community Day and Women of Red along with other designated days
  • Serve as an ambassador for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and provide excellent customer service to all fans including, VIPs and special guests
  • Coordinate and execute additional needs and other team functions as requested, in addition to helping with some outside events and game day operations
  • Other duties as assigned to enhance the overall Training Camp experience as deemed necessary or as directed by the Sr. Events & Entertainment Manager and Coordinator

Skills & Abilities

  • Responsible for providing own housing and transportation to, in and around Tampa, FL
  • Ability to adhere to timelines and layouts
  • Ability to collaborate and work well with others
  • Perform in a professional manner in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure, on multiple tasks, and trouble
  • Ability to safely use and drive golf carts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred, but not required

Work Environment

The Company is a professional, fast paced, creative business environment. Other environmental conditions:

  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekdays, weekends and nights
  • Work long hours in a variety of weather conditions including humidity, rain and intense heat; this position calls for a great deal of physical exertion
  • Sitting, standing, working outside for extended periods of time
  • Physical Demands: HIGH; this position calls for a great deal of physical exertion
  • Ability to assist in set-up and breakdown which may require frequent lifting and/or carrying up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work all Training Camp days as assigned
