POSITION PURPOSE:

The Men’s Youth Competitions Supervisor is responsible for all competition management matters, operational preparations, and delivery of all Men’s Youth Competitions, Beach Soccer and Futsal Championships. As a Competition Supervisor specializing in football administration and match operations, this role will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of football events, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining high standards of the competitions. This role requires a deep understanding of football regulations, including all FIFA and Concacaf guidelines and regulations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage match delegates efficiently.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Administrate all competition matters for Men’s Youth Competitions.
  • Supervise the proper execution of Match Operations on the assigned Concacaf Competitions.
  • Development, standardization, and implementation of various event tools, administrative and operational guidelines, inventory control, match schedules, competitions handbook, and any other competition-related needs.
  • Provide clear direction, set goals, and foster a collaborative team environment, including proper communication with other Concacaf departments.
  • Facilitate Team form submissions and establish appropriate deadlines for all stakeholders, especially participating Member Associations.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve administrative and operational processes.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between different departments, stakeholders, teams, and external match delegates.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and draft reports to identify areas of improvement and implement changes for future events.
  • Supervise and lead a team of administrators and coordinators by providing guidance and support to meet the organization’s objectives.
  • Ensure all administrative processes for Men’s Youth competitions are properly implemented, including but not limited to Team Participation Agreements, Tournament Regulations, Team Workshops and Match Schedule.
  • Develop engaging and interactive competition workshops with Concacaf external match delegates.
  • Lead the proper execution of Men’s Youth Competitions Draws.
  • Ensure all department software and competition tools, including handbooks, are properly implemented in all Men’s Youth Competitions
  • Act as a Member Associations Team Service Support.
  • Ensure all logistics matters are properly implemented for all Men’s Youth Competitions.
  • Keep all Concacaf rankings for Men’s Youth Competitions up to date.
  • Monitor the performance of all match delegates.
  • Support the Football Division with activities and tasks as assigned, including workshops, draws, tournaments, and special projects.


SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY:
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that s/he can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in sports management or related field. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in the sports industry.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint), Microsoft Project or other project management software a plus.
  • Strong project management, strategic thinking and organizational skills with the ability to be part of concurrent, multiple, high-priority, time-sensitive projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ideal candidate is bilingual (English/French or Spanish. Other languages are a plus.
  • Excellent communicator, presenter and collaborator, with the experience and ability to effectively influence at all levels to get things done, both inside and outside the organization.
  • Ability to manage and collaborate with individuals at all levels.
  • Creativity and ability to think outside the box.
  • Team player, professional, positive attitude, pride in work product.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while working as both part of a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to adapt to the diverse needs and preferences of Concacaf region.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information is critical and professionalism in dealing with others both inside and outside of the confederation is a must.
  • Candidate must have the flexibility to travel nationally and internationally for the performance of his/her duties. Approximately travel requirement: 60%

Due to the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry, the employee may be required to work varying schedules including game nights to reflect the business needs of the company.
