POSITION PURPOSE:
The Men’s Youth Competitions Event Administrator will support Football Competitions activities and will contribute to the success of the overall organization. The candidate will be responsible for the administration of Men’s Youth Competitions, Beach Soccer and Futsal Championships, support all the National Competitions and Club Competitions, and act as the Account Manager with some of the participating Member Associations (MAs)/Clubs. The successful candidate will assist with the communications and correspondence with stakeholders and support the operations teams, draws, workshops and special projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Support all assigned administrative duties for Men’s Youth Competitions as well general Football Competitions division.
  • Administrate the proper execution of Match Operations on the assigned Concacaf Competitions.
  • Collect and verify the required forms and data from participating teams in all Men’s Youth Competitions.
  • Act as Team Service Support with the participating MAs on a daily basis.
  • Prepare official correspondence to be distributed to various Competitions stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development, standardization and implementation of various event tools, procurement process, budgeting, inventory control, packing lists and any departmental needs.
  • Assist in the day-to-day administration, projects and staff needs.
  • Maintain project schedules and administrative procedures up to date.
  • Review administrative practices, report and implement changes when necessary.
  • Collaborates on various projects involving other departments as required.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental communication.
  • Support Event Lead during assigned Competitions.
  • Serve as an Event Lead to assigned Competitions.
  • Act as a Venue Coordinator and/or Match Coordinator when appointed.
  • Support the Men’s Youth Competitions Supervisor with activities and tasks as assigned, including workshops, draws, tournaments and special projects.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that s/he can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in sports management or related field. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint), Microsoft Project or other project management software a plus.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information is critical and professionalism in dealing with others both inside and outside of the confederation is a must.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ideal candidate is bilingual (English/French or Spanish. Dutch is a plus).
  • Ability to manage and collaborate with individuals at all levels.
  • Creativity and ability to think outside the box.
  • Team player, professional, positive attitude, pride in work product.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while working as both part of a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to adapt to the diverse needs and preferences of Concacaf region.
  • Candidate must have the flexibility to travel nationally and internationally for the performance of his/her duties. Approximately travel requirement: 60%
