Junior Stress Engineer

The Junior Stress Engineer will ensure reliable modelling and stress analysis of car component, and will be required to build to FE model compliant to the related procedure and create clear Stress Report of the analysis.

Stress Analysis

Regarding the development of ASSIGNED car parts, you are required to:

Perform the stress analysis (FE, Hand-calculations, etc.) required for the design of car components under the guidance of a Senior Stress Engineer releasing clear documentation of the analysis performed (Stress Report);

Support the Team Leader in damage and defect investigations;

Have a proactive approach with respect to the current calculation methods used for the sizing of car components;

Execute the weekly and daily tasks, providing feedback related to the milestone of his work status;

Professionalism

You are required to:

Maintain and develop good relationships within the stress team and design office;

Provide flexible attendance and good attitude to work, both in line with the requirements of the role and any specific requirements of the projects respecting timeframes.

Experience

Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:

  • At least 1 year experience in similar role;
  • Understanding of carbon and metal structures at academic level;
  • Strong knowledge of theory behind FEA;
  • Usage and knowledge of FE pre/processing (Altair Hypermesh/Optistruct, Abaqus is a plus);
  • Basic knowledge of CAD system (NX is a plus);
  • Knowledge of current manufacturing processes and material science;
  • Ability to work in a team and with colleagues;
  • Initiative, proactive and Innovation.
  • Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering master’s degree
  • Fluent in English
  • Travel 0-10%
