Position: Audio Visual Technician (FT)

Department: Audio/Visual

Reports to: Sr. Director, A/V and Broadcast

FLSA: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Job Summary:

The Audio-Visual Technician will play a pivotal role in ensuring the flawless execution of audio-visual requirements for all events hosted at Golden 1 Center. This includes setup, tear-down, and technical support for a wide range of activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the seamless operation and maintenance of cutting-edge L.E.D. big screens.
  • Oversee the functionality of the powerful 300 KW audio sound system.
  • Manage and operate sophisticated television production systems, encompassing both analog and digital technologies.
  • Administer the maintenance and operation of intra-arena R.F. delivery systems.
  • Supervise the operation and maintenance of intra-arena media sub-systems.
  • Execute event layouts as per departmental requests, involving the setup of tables, chairs, stages, podiums, microphones, projectors, screens, AV carts, and stanchions.
  • Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of fixed assets, ensuring it includes all necessary items for event production.
  • Collaborate with Arena Operations team to execute tasks efficiently.
  • Provide repairs and preventative maintenance on AV equipment when required, with assistance as needed.
  • Manage audio-visual setup for internal and external events, including being on-site during predetermined events for setup or AV adjustments.
  • Prepare the facility for functions in a timely manner and maintain cleanliness and organization in all events, service, and storage areas.
  • Provide support and technical guidance to multiple facilities within the Golden 1 Center, as well as work alongside third-party AV partners.
  • Assist with radio and TV broadcast support and be available for on-call support.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in setting up, operating, and dismantling standard audio and video equipment.
  • Experience in troubleshooting AV issues and resolving them promptly.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Initiative, teamwork, and promptness are essential qualities.
  • Strong customer service skills for both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to handle pressure and multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in a large-venue environment with complex audio-visual solutions.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation:

The offer range for this full-time, non-exempt position is $21.63 - $26.44 per hour. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the offer range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered. Total compensation & offer package will include the following:
