Job Summary:

The Director of Box Office Operations is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the daily functions of the box office. This role is integral to the overall operations of the arena, coordinating closely with arena programming, event management, operations, and team ticket operations.

Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Possess extensive knowledge of multiple ticketing platforms, with a focus on Ticketmaster Host, Archtics, and TM1.
  • Foster strong working relationships with artist management, senior executives, partners, and clients at all organizational levels.
  • Coordinate with promoters and licensees to create comprehensive scaling models for events.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies with key stakeholders to maximize sales, revenue, and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and analyze ticket sales data and market trends to inform decision-making and adjust strategies for successful events.
  • Collaborate with event management and promoters to ensure seamless ticketing operations and manage any special event requirements.
  • Develop and manage the box office budget, ensuring financial targets are met and costs are controlled.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise the ticketing staff, including box office personnel and sales agents.
  • Enhance the customer experience by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a high standard of service.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience managing a box office for a multi-purpose facility, and/or 5+ years of experience working with touring companies.
  • Strong relationships within the touring industry, particularly with promoters and event producers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of Ticketmaster Host, Repgen (Reporting Tasks), Archtics, TM1, and its suite of programs.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Professional.
  • Strong leadership skills with creative and innovative approaches to job-related functions.
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and human resource management expertise.
  • Ability to create, analyze, and interpret financial reports.
  • Capable of effectively presenting information to management and responding to customer complaints.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000 + a 10% annual discretionary bonus. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered. Total compensation & offer package will include the following:
