Position Description: We are in search of an experienced and dynamic Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Manager to lead our AP/AR team. This role involves overseeing the AP/AR Specialists and directly engaging in the processing of financial transactions to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with financial policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will embody a blend of leadership qualities and technical proficiency, ready to manage, execute, and innovate within our fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the AP/AR department, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, revenue collection, and adherence to company guidelines.
  • Directly process supplier invoices, ad hoc payments, and customer invoices using Workday accounting software; handle cash, checks, wires, and credit card transactions.
  • Maintain the cash vault, request change orders and process per diem payments for multiple teams
  • Ensure timely monthly closing of AP and AR accounts, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, and follow-up on outstanding balances.
  • Prepare reports and reviews as part of regular internal control process.
  • Develop and implement process improvements for AP/AR functionality to enhance accuracy and efficiency, in collaboration with other departments.
  • Oversee all department activities, including mail and bank deposit coordination and monitoring of AP and AR emails.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the AP/AR team, setting goals, monitoring performance, and promoting professional development.
  • Responsible for the financial reporting of AP/AR activities, including compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
  • Lead special projects as requested and assist in providing support for commissions and year-end financial audit processes

Education/Experience

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent with major coursework in finance-related field preferred
  • 4-6 years of hands-on accounting experience with a focus on AP and/or AR preferred.
  • Proficient in Excel and basic computer skills.
  • Understanding of financial software, accounting processes, and procedures; Experience with Workday accounting system preferred
  • Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of supervising, leading department personnel, and achieving key performance metrics.
  • Analytical thinker with innovative problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to organizational evolution.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, and capable of prioritizing work efficiently and independently.
  • Commitment to exceptional internal and external customer service, with the willingness to work extended hours as needed.

Compensation:

The offer range for this full-time, exempt position is $75,000 - $85,000. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the offer range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered. Total compensation & offer package will include the following:
