POSITION SUMMARY:
Phillies Florida LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to manage all aspects of housekeeping & cleaning of our Phillies Florida Operations at BayCare Ballpark. A qualified candidate will be responsible for managing full & part-time employees as well as third party vendors used to keep the ballpark clean to our standards for our on and off-season events.

A qualified candidate will have the keen ability to provide excellent leadership, prioritize and execute tasks involved in the job description and exercise problem-solving aptitude in a dynamic environment. Candidates must be willing to work event-based hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as the ballpark’s schedule requires.

This position will be located on-site at the BayCare Ballpark in Clearwater, FL.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for all aspects of ballpark cleaning including outdoor and indoor areas of the Florida Operations.
  • Responsible for hiring, managing, and supervising full-time and part-time housekeeping staff including outside vendors.
  • Responsible for managing the hiring of temp employees through existing temp agency partners as well as establishing new relationships with other vendors.
  • Oversee the cleaning of our ballpark during post-game time frames as well as all special events.
  • Manage and communicate with nighttime office and clubhouse cleaning vendor.
  • Must be knowledgeable and updated on best practices for facility cleaning.
  • Establish and implement a daily cleaning checklist for all cleaning employees, temp workers and outside vendors.
  • Train existing and incoming employees as needed with our daily cleaning checklist.
  • Must be proficient, knowledgeable, and experienced in handling cleaning chemicals, biohazard materials, recycling & safety training.
  • Establish and manage a budget and identify cost savings for the housekeeping department.
  • Identify, submit, and purchase capital items as approved by direct report.
  • Inventory and order supplies needed for all cleaning aspects of the facility.
  • Communicate with City Services for trash and recycling pick-ups.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by direct report


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in ballpark cleaning industry.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to include holidays, weekends, and evenings as needed.
  • Must be able to physically work outside and lift heavy equipment.
  • Position requires physical mobility i.e. walking, climbing, descending stairwells Must possess Leadership skills with the ability to partner with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Must be able to operate and maintain basic cleaning equipment.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication as well as organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft-based software (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
