POSITION OVERVIEW:

Squad 76 are technically trained, diverse performers who strive to be the best entertainers in the NBA. They are a distinguished group of performers who are able to engage fans with their charisma, poise, talent and class. Squad 76 are ambassadors, leaders in the community and role models.

Hours required: 20+ hours/week - events, nights and weekends as needed

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Able to learn and perform choreography quickly
  • Perform various styles of dance with precise execution
  • Technically trained, diverse performers (Gymnasts, acrobats, trickers, and break-dancers) who strive to be the best entertainers in the NBA
  • Maintain the physicality required to perform high endurance routines
  • Able to interact with fans on a one on one and group environment
  • Assist with in game promotions
  • Maintain and keep uniforms clean and maintained for games and appearances
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance
  • Schedule needs – Open schedule, Rehearsals, Appearances, and all Philadelphia 76ers home games. This position attends all home games and occasional events including community and member events both on and off site. Due to the game/event needs this role has a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Indoor and/or outdoor work – Works indoors, away from the elements
  • Able to learn and execute promotions quickly and precisely
  • Gather props and organize them to correspond to the game day rundown
  • Able to execute and lead fans in 76ers prompts (ex. Defense, Let’s Go 76ers, etc).
  • M-Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • GED or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1 - 3 years’ entertainment experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office & Microsoft Outlook
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills, excellent written and verbal skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and selected holidays

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • This position generally requires that work be performed from the Wells Fargo Center/Philadelphia 76ers offices, but attendance at events taking place in the arena or offsite, including on weekends and/or holidays, may be required.
