Summary:
The Mets Events Operations Fall Intern will provide event support to the entire Event Operations department by sharing in the responsibilities noted below.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Assist in planning and executing non-gameday events from start to finish.
2. Work on multiple projects assigned by full-time Mets Events Operations members.
3. Assist with typing, organizing, and sending event documents (Event Notes, Post Event Notes, Contracts, Daily Updates, Floorplans, Maps, etc.)
4. Maintain Mets Events inventory and event supplies.
5. Able to perform manual labor, which may include carrying boxes, pushing, loading, and unloading hand trucks, setting-up directional signage, moving furniture, etc.
6. Other duties as assigned to assist with the continued growth of Mets Events and the entire New York Mets organization.
Qualifications:
1. Enrolled in undergraduate or graduate degree program, or recent graduate.
2. Strong interest in event and hospitality industry.
3. Professional demeanor and excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
4. Must be a creative, detail-oriented, passionate “People Person” capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously.
5. Experience working in a project-based environment with emphasis on meeting deadlines.
6. Must be able to work set-up and breakdown of all Mets Events hosted events through the duration of the internship as required including nights, weekends, and holidays.
7. Must be able to complete the duration of the internship.

Pay Rate: $18.15 hourly
