Summary:
The Coordinator will provide operational and administrative support to the Foundation & Community Engagement Department, a team that serves as the community and philanthropic arm of the New York Mets.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee and execute assigned game day events, including staffing, setup, operations, and close-out procedures.
Provide necessary support to the Foundation and Community team during events.
Serve as the primary liaison between fans and the Foundation by managing inbound messages, providing prompt and professional responses to inquiries, resolving issues, and fostering strong, positive relationships with Foundation fans and supporters.
Assist in organizing and executing events, including booking transportation, submitting parking requests, etc.
Aid team with data entry, tracking, and file organization; including managing storage inventory.
Maintain and track memorabilia inventory.
Manage in-kind donation requests, including coordinating logistics for mailing, arranging pick-ups, and ensuring accurate tracking and distribution to recipients.
Oversee Foundation and Community program items, including placing order with purchasing, keeping track of shipping and storage.
Sort and distribute Foundation and Community mail to appropriate individuals and provide assistance and address inquiries related to incoming mail.
Other duties and special projects assigned by Program Officer; including but not limited to, creating presentations, meeting agendas/notes, etc.
Physical demands associated with this position include extensive walking, lifting & carrying heavy weighted materials (up to 50 lbs).
Qualifications:
Willingness and ability to attend and support Foundation and Community related events outside of office hours, including being flexible during the season to work on game days and weekends.
BA or BS Degree preferred, and 1-3 years of experience working in events, non-profits, or sports required.
Experience working in fast-paced, confidential environment.
Excellent oral and written communications skills; ability to manage communications tactfully and professionally with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Detail-oriented with good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
A proactive individual able to self-manage, prioritize work assignments across teams and functional areas, and manage multiple deadlines with accountability and responsibility.
Proven ability to problem-solve and follow up appropriately on process and procedural issues.
Personal qualities of humility, capacity for self-reflection, and a sense of humor.
Must be trustworthy and capable of exercising discretion and ability to handle confidential issues, as well as demonstrated ability to interact with and support high-level leaders.
Professional demeanor with strong organizational, planning and communication skills to develop and maintain relationships with internal colleagues and external partners.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.

Salary Range: $43,000-$58,000
