Position Summary

This position will support the NBA's Team & Labor Finance Department. This role's primary job responsibility is to assist with ticket and financial reporting procedures. An ideal candidate is a current accounting, finance, or sports management upperclassman or graduate student.

This role is a 10-month assignment with a time requirement of approximately 35-40 hours per week.

Major Responsibilities

  • Assist with gate and season ticket reporting processes for the NBA, WNBA, and NBA G League.
  • Review ticket reports ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to League-required reporting standards.
  • Act as the primary League Office point of contact for teams during the gate receipts reporting review process.
  • Coordinate with IT and Team Marketing & Business Operations (TMBO) on building and reviewing various League gate and season ticket reports.
  • Collaborate on cross-departmental projects incorporating information from the League Finance group.
  • Create presentations and assist with logistical planning as needed.
  • Manage ongoing communications with teams related to various financial matters.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis as required.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Education

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or related business field
  • Experience in an accounting, finance, or related business role
  • Experience in the professional sports, entertainment, media, or service industry preferred
  • Graduate education or professional certification in a related field is a plus

Salary Range: $23/hour - $25/hour
