Production Management Associate - WNBA

Position Summary:

The Production Management Associate will support the Content Strategist by handling operational tasks, scheduling, and coordination for the WNBA's content initiatives. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth execution of content, managing planning documents, and liaising with various internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for sports media, particularly women's basketball, and will possess outstanding organizational and communication skills.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the creation and management of content calendars, including scheduling and status tracking for all content initiatives.
  • Coordinate with vendors and manage contracts, invoices, and payments for original and external video production.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to content production, including coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, and maintaining project documentation.
  • Collaborate with the WNBA teams’ public relations to align athlete coordination for original content shoots and tentpole events.
  • Manage and update the creative rolodex of editors, freelancers, and other production personnel.
  • Provide logistical support for on-site coverage at episode shoots, tentpole events and special productions.
  • Ensure clear and consistent communication between production teams, WNBA teams, NBAE, and internal departments.
  • Manage the submission process for content awards and special recognitions.


Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate and collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Basic knowledge of digital and social media platforms, with an understanding of content production processes.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with invoicing and contract management is a plus.
  • Passion for women's sports, particularly the WNBA, is highly desirable!


Expereince Needed:

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in content production, media operations, or a related field.
  • Experience coordinating projects, managing schedules, and handling administrative tasks.
  • Experience working in the sports or entertainment industry is preferred but not required!


Edducational Background Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Communications, Media Studies, Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
