Position Summary:

The Player Development Operations and Program Coordinator will drive project-based work including, assisting with the ongoing development and execution of signature league-based development programs, the creation and implementation of operations systems and department processes, and driving event execution. Additionally, they will provide a wide variety of administrative services assisting the Head of Player Development and other members of the department. This position will interact with employees at all levels of the organization as well as external contacts and will be asked to make decisions on a regular basis with minimal guidance and supervision.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the logistics and project requirements for the department's signature programs, initiatives, and tentpole events including, but not limited to, NBA Rookie Transition Program & G League Orientation, Team Awareness Meetings (NBA & G League), Las Vegas Summer League, Draft-Combine & Draft, All-Star, and G League Showcase
  • Assist with the development and execution of department programs, initiatives, and events
  • Assist with creation and implementation of program content, outreach and engagement strategies for top high-school basketball athletes as a part of the Departments work in the Elite Youth Basketball space including engagement with USAB and other elite programs
  • Assist with the facilitation of Team Awareness Meetings in the NBA and NBA G League
  • Assist with overall operations of Coaching Development Program, including recruiting candidates and handling communication with participants throughout program
  • Provide administrative support to the SVP as needed including, but not limited to calendar, meeting and travel schedules, management of department budget, submitting expense reports, completing other general administrative tasks.
  • Serve as liaison and respond to inquiries and internal and external media, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide administrative and project support to department staff Serve as a point person on the department's logistics advance team when vetting program and event venues
  • Represent PD when needed within the NBA on various projects including business review, Coaches Equality Initiative, Player Appearance
  • Assist with management and tracking of Department creative, institutional, digital, and content assets
  • Manage department merchandise purchases and coordination for events
  • Assist with management of all Department digital platforms and social media content
  • Handle all travel for consultants, current players and former players
  • Troubleshoot and offer administrative support as needed


Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience and dexterity with use of digital and virtual platforms for communication!
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office I Outlook Strong organizational, administrative, and problem­ solving skills with the ability to interact professionally with individuals inside and outside the company
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple priorities!

  • Bachelor's Degree
