Graduate - Future Pros

The Basketball Africa League (BAL) is entering its fourth season, and we are proud to contribute to professional development and talent identification within the sports ecosystem with the launch of the BAL Young Pros.

This program is designed for students that would like to get practical experience liaison programme will be exposed to various positions within the BAL operation.

Duties:

• Support the coordination of ancillary events, including guest management and communication. Support coordination of entertainment in arena and fan zone.
• Providing support in partner relationship management, M&E of deliverables, commercial inventory of assets for sale, creation presentation commercial decks, and assisting in guest management for events.
• Manage the BAL Newsletter, and other promotional programs, as well as liaise with department leads for BAL event storytelling. Manage content crew’s movement on site.
• Work closely with the venue operations team to help with contracting, planning, and production of our venue operations.
• Coordinate the delivery and receival of items with arena receiving staff, track cargo in transit and with freight forwarders. Participate in demobilization of arena to ensure that all equipment are stored or shipped.

Outcomes of the Program :

• Upon successfully completing the program, students would have gained practical experience and transferable skills whether they stay with the BAL or pursues careers elsewhere.
• This program will teach you the basics of sports sales including prospecting, nurturing and negotiating deals. You'll receive real time coaching from industry professionals and learn about career paths in the sports industry.

Education:

• Current students or early career professionals in sports or relevant field

Experience:

• 2+ Years of professional experience in sports or relevant fields

• Self-starters who will embody of values to Inspire, Empower, Elevate
