Position Summary:
This individual will assist the Minnesota Twins organization by inspiring players and staff to maximize their potential through interdependent multidisciplinary approaches, innovative program design, creative implementation strategies, and by being an active member of the respective team of teams’ team and the organization’s Performance team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement holistic performance enhancement programs for the Minnesota Twins players at the Minor League Level under the Minnesota Twins Strength & Conditioning system.
- Take an active role in Player Development and participate in continued education opportunities and promote a progressive culture through a growth-mindset and integrative approach.
- Complete and participate in individualized professional development plans per Director, Strength & Conditioning and Minor League Strength & Conditioning Coordinator.
- Reinforce the organizations initiatives in terms of strategy, day-to-day operations, organizational culture, employee expectations and performance reviews.
- Integrate with Minor League field staff to improve decision-making processes regarding performance enhancement and physical development, including individualized strength and conditioning development plans.
- Effectively work with Minor League field staff on movement mechanics as it pertains to baseball skill acquisition (i.e., the correlation between assessing and teaching human body movement for hitting and pitching mechanics).
- Take an active role in our Team of Team approach on designated teams to ensure the department and organization are on the forefront of performance enhancement.
- Work in conjunction with Minor League sports medicine, sports nutrition, sports psychology, and sports science staffs on the rehab of players and return to play protocols and their schedules.
- Work within our integrated High-Performance staff: Sports Performance (Strength & Conditioning), Sports Medicine (Athletic Training and Physical Therapy), Sports Science, Sports Psychology, and Sports Nutrition on items such as, but not limited to:
- Implementation and integration of monthly and weekly movement and performance assessments.
- Integration of innovative technologies that pertain to Strength and Conditioning at the Minor League levels.
- Support Nutrition initiatives for performance fueling considerations as they pertain to the demand from training and the highest level of athletic competition at the Minor League Level in conjunction with our Sports Nutrition staff.
- Athlete centered comprehensive long-term development plans integrating physical and skill development.
- Design of individual off-season strength and conditioning programs for Minor League players.
- Work with players in the off-season to implement their strength and conditioning programs at the Fort Myers Complex or virtually.
Requirement Experience and Education:
- BA or BS in Sports Management, Sports Coaching, Exercise Science, or related field.
- CSCS certifications in good standing through NSCA.
- CPR/AED certification in good standing.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Strength & Conditioning Program in Professional Baseball, Collegiate or private setting.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong work ethic and willingness to think outside the box with an exploration mindset and integrative approach.
- High level of interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of departments, seniority levels and personalities.
- Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Maintain professional liability insurance.
- Willing and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate and connect with non-English speaking athletes and staff.
- RSCC certification through the NSCA.
- Experience with OnBase U, K-Vest, 4-D and/or any other motion capture systems.
- Experience with FMS / SFMA, FRC, PRI, DNS or any other related principles.
- Experience with Force Plate and motion capture biomechanical analyses.
- Experience with any other wearable technology.
