Position Summary:
Responsible for managing an assigned book of business within the Marlins Partnership department, providing leadership and alignment to the internal team and team partners in all areas as needed. Duties include but are not limited to strategy, service, fulfillment, upselling / renewing, communication, and execution of all elements of every assigned partnership. The individual will be a valuable contributor in driving partnership initiatives within this core sector of the Marlins business. Ideal candidates should possess exceptional project management, creativity, drive, inter-personal, and organizational skills.
Essential Functions:
- Initiate and maintain consistent communication and excellent business relations with assigned corporate partners and internal stakeholders.
- Fulfill corporate partnership agreements to satisfy team obligations and partner expectations.
- Monitor and communicate partner feedback to maintain integrity of all relationships and delivery of KPIs.
- Manage and track all partner season, group, and suite ticket distribution and catering needs.
- Manage certain partner hospitality and on-site events at loanDepot park.
- Manage all off-site team/partner events including retail promotions, player/mascot appearances, radios show, grassroots initiatives, and other events
- Manage partner assets and track proof of performance - including branding placements, in-game features, appearances, events, activations, press announcements, radio, television, and social/digital media executions
- Document fulfillment throughout the season and create end of year recaps and other micro-recaps for partners.
- Develop and update partner asset financials and invoicing.
- Responsible for partnership contract renewals, proposals, and in-term upsells.
- Assist Senior Director of Strategy, Vice President, and Chief Commercial Officer in special projects, training, and other duties as assigned commensurate with a leader within partnerships.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work long hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Highly organized and efficient with the ability to work independently as well as with a small integrated team.
- Superior written and oral communication skills are essential.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at any given time.
- Understanding of corporate partnerships, inventory, and sports marketing.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office.
Suggested Education & Experience Guidelines:
- Four-year college degree
- 7+ years of experience in partnership activation, marketing, or strategy at a team property within major sports, preferred.
