Position Summary:

The Marlins Mermaids are responsible for providing positive experiences and fan engagement for all Miami Marlins events and promotions.

Essential Functions:

Duties include, but are not limited to, game day activities, special events appearances, and fan engagement. Specific duties include:
Be available for appearances at events, schools, and youth leagues.
Must maintain physical fitness and professional appearance at all times.
Act as a Brand Ambassador for the Miami Marlins, as the face of the Marlins Mermaids.
Distribute promotional giveaways at events, game days, and other activations.
Take pictures with fans at events and promotions.
Be available for photo shoots and other marketing content opportunities as needed.
Dress in uniform at all times and hold other members to the same standard.
Able to take creative direction and feedback.
Assist with set up and activation of theme nights and special events including pre and postgame activities as needed.
Marlins Mermaids will be responsible for fan engagement during home games - t-shirt tosses, 7th inning stretch, working with our in-game host, etc.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills
Must have dependable transportation to any and all games and appearances
Each member must attend all team meetings
A Marlins Mermaid is expected to display a great skill in leading chants and fan engagement
Ability to work during games, nights, weekends, community events, and holidays
Strong live entertainment skills, high-positive energy, and outgoing personality
Must maintain good attendance and punctuality; must arrive an hour before each game starts
Softball/Baseball skills are a plus but not required
Must be over 18 years old to apply
Have a clean driving record
