The Fan Support Apprentice will provide generic operational support to the Fan Support department in delivery of the day-to-day service, sales, fulfilment and administration operation across all available sales and service channels, at all stadia, for all associated teams and non-matchday events.

You do not require specific knowledge upon joining the organisation; however, the apprentice will be supported in developing their knowledge of core operational policies and processes, through the achievement of a defined apprenticeship programme;

  • Studying toward the Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner apprenticeship standard, along with on-the-job learning, the Fan Support Apprentice will be supported to deliver an optimal and consistent level of service to all supporters
  • This is a 15-month apprenticeship programme, delivered by MCFC’s approved learning provider
  • The position is 37.5 hours per week, working Tuesday to Saturday with allocated time for training (20%)
  • This is a fixed term contract with the potential to transition into a permanent Fan Support Coordinator role upon successful completion of the apprenticeship standard
  • On the job training will also be provided in the workplace

Your Impact

  1. Assist the Fan Support Team with the sale and fulfilment of Sales and Service products through all available channels, with guidance and direction from the supervisors and management
  2. Receive and resolve basic queries and manage issues for all Sales and Service enquiries received across all channels, referring non-standard matters to the appropriate person where required
  3. Assist the Fan Support Team in maintaining the on-going relationship with appropriate customer and supporter groups, with guidance from line manager and colleagues/peers. Providing service in a friendly and courteous manner in order to build professional relationships and promote a helpful and efficient service
  4. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of work processes/instructions and give feedback on any problems to support the delivery of a consistent, high-quality service.
  5. To meet and exceed weekly, monthly and seasonal KPI targets as assigned by line manager
  6. To strictly adhere to all quality control and validity checks & procedures

What we are looking for

Candidates will be screened as part of the recruitment process and must be able to work at Level 1 in Functional Skills (i. e; Maths and English) in order to undertake this Apprenticeship. You’ll also need:

  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team member
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to learn new skills and a commitment to personal development
  • Keen to embrace new challenges, be reliable, personable and have a keen interest in delivering great customer service
  • Able to accept and carry out instructions in connection with the role
