We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, self- motivated people centric person, who loves sport and can bring their proven experience in developing, managing and maintain positive and productive partner relationships to join Manchester City FC (MCFC) Football Schools in Sydney, Australia.

Working closely with the International Programs Manager, the Senior Program Manager - Partner Schools, Australia is responsible for the effective and high-quality delivery of all aspects of MCFC, Football School agreements with international partners schools in Australia. You will be required to ownership of a set number of assigned sites this will include football specific tasks including coach recruitment, development, and coaching programs along with commercial account management activities such as marketing, branding, and the delivery of operational requirements. The role will also assist in identifying potential new partners in Australia and New Zealand.

This role is offered on full time terms, and involves working both within and outside office hours.

Your Impact

  • Ensure the effective delivery of operational requirements as the day-to-day point of contact, and account manage each assigned partner school, working with relevant content, marketing/branding, and communication teams to promote the programs within guidelines and delivery of the CFG Assets.
  • Lead on the ground the effective launch of Manchester City Football School agreements with international partners in Australia, overseeing all Football operational elements.
  • Working with the partner schools, you are responsible for the end-to-end structure, design, and ongoing operational delivery for programs within each (assigned) fixed site.
  • Manage kit & equipment demand and all other operational tasks in the set up and ongoing delivery of the programs including working with Puma licensees and equipment suppliers in Australia to be self-sufficient within territory.
  • Working with the school partner and MCFC in the identification, recruitment, relocation, and onboarding of coaching staff required to deliver each School Partner program.
  • In collaboration with the partner school, set up drive the Quality Assurance to ensure the coaching philosophy and methodology compliance is at the highest possible standards. • Manage meetings to review performance and develop effective working relationships for ongoing compliance of operational activity.
  • Manage the regional P&L ensuring revenue and profitability targets are met and ideally exceeded. Owning the relevant cost centre tracking all revenue and costs against targets.
  • Collaborate with the wider Football Education Partner Schools and other internal departments to ensure the smooth activation of all programs in addition to managing and building relationships with external stakeholders including participants, commercial partners, and program operators.
  • Develop, plan, and execute new value-added features for partner schools in Australia and New Zealand to drive regional growth in terms of new business and to optimise the renewals process of existing partner schools.
  • Work with the Director – Partner Schools to identify new partners in Australia and New Zealand for increased commercial revenues, including presentations and negotiations, where required.

  • Proven experience of account management and dealing with external partner relationships. Proven experience interacting with senior stakeholders within organisations.
  • Knowledge of the football landscape in Australia and sports industry and previous experience working across international marketplaces and cultures (desired, not essential).
  • Experience in working on marketing campaigns, ideally related to commercial football courses and programs.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to deal with a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Canva and SAP.
  • Professional presentation skills to articulate Football Education story to prospects.
  • Ability to collaborate and forge strong, trusting relationships cross functionally within other departments and within Melbourne FC and wider CFG group to achieve share goals
  • Must be able to work effectively away from managing office and line managers.
  • Strong organisation and administration skills and ability to work independently.
  • Agile, adaptable and flexible with the ability to multi-task, pivot quickly across a range of projects that could vary significantly by location / client / project focus / deliverable / timeline etc
