We’re looking for an experienced Editing Producer to join our team, bringing a strong focus on editing alongside collaborative production experience. Please note: this is not an entry-level role. Ideal candidates will have demonstrable experience in EITHER football content production (especially off-pitch storytelling) or branded content production, with a portfolio or showreel.
This role centers on editing and refining high-quality content to elevate the Manchester City brand across various digital platforms, with additional responsibility for overseeing the planning and execution of our branded content strands, which include archive-based football edits like Goal of the Month, Perfect Delivery, and Away Day Outfit videos.

Your Impact
- Content Editing & Post-Production:
- Take ownership of all editing stages, from rough cuts to final delivery, ensuring quality, consistency, and alignment with our brand’s tone and visual style. A passion for post-production excellence and continuous improvement in editing skills is essential.
- Use Adobe Premiere Pro at an expert level to produce polished, high-quality content that engages our audience across platforms, from social channels to longer-form formats.
- Integrate motion graphics, audio elements, and color grading as needed to enhance visual storytelling. Familiarity with Adobe After Effects is a plus.
- Produce content optimized for social formats, understanding the unique requirements of each platform in terms of tone, pacing, and graphic application. Experience in creating or commissioning these graphics is very desirable.
- Branded Content Strand Management:
- Assist (in conjunction with the Branded Content Production Lead) in the planning, creative direction, and editorial consistency of our branded content strands, including archive-based football edits like Goal of the Month, Perfect Delivery, and Away Day Outfit videos. This includes tailoring content to reflect Manchester City’s brand and appeal to our fanbase, as well as ideating new ideas that align with our production capacity while delivering best-in-class work for partners who have contractual rights to active on archive strands.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to align on content goals, objectives, and timelines based on multiple ongoing projects.
- Content Production & Project Management:
- While editing will be the primary focus of your role, our team operates as a small, collaborative unit. We’d also welcome applications from candidates who are also comfortable stepping into various stages of content production as needed, particularly on player appearance days and fast-paced shoot schedules. Key skills that would support these production activities include:
- Attendance on Player Appearance Days: Assist with organizing/overseeing content stations as a representative of City Studios.
- Streamlined Project Coordination: Facilitate the seamless transition between production and post-production, including managing assets and ensuring all footage is captured and logged efficiently for editing.
- Time and Resource Management: Juggle multiple content strands and schedules with a clear focus on deadlines, budget awareness, and flexibility to adapt to last-minute changes.
- Clear Stakeholder Communication: Act as a point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, keeping all parties aligned on project goals, timelines, and feedback throughout the process.
What we are looking for
- Proven experience as a Content Editor, with an exceptional eye for detail and a portfolio demonstrating high-quality editing work.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; familiarity with After Effects is a plus.
- Solid understanding of production and storytelling techniques with the ability to edit content that engages and excites viewers.
- Experience in producing social-first content, optimizing for tone, pacing, and visual style across platforms, and a background in creating or collaborating on graphics.
- Ability to manage multiple content strands and editorial schedules effectively.
- Experience in sports media or a passion for football is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A team player with a collaborative mindset who is proactive and solutions-oriented.
- Flexibility to work varied hours when needed, accommodating the football season schedule.
