The Miami HEAT Digital Strategy & Innovations team is seeking to hire a Program Manager, Strategy Operations! The main responsibilities will be to prepare project plans, prioritize tasks and resources to achieve project objectives, and ensure adequate communication is maintained regarding project status and priorities. This position will be responsible for the coordination, implementation, control, and completion of a wide variety of projects requiring technical expertise, knowledge of the organization, and logistics coordination while remaining aligned with the strategy, partners, and goals of the company. This role will focus on projects for clients of 601 Analytics and serve as a primary point of contact with clients in the implementation of the 601A data platform and other products. This position will also be responsible for exhibiting leadership skills at the highest levels and in a wide variety of contexts. This position requires the ability to understand, explain, and present complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels up to the highest in a persuasive manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following are examples of the various functions required. The job requirements are not limited to the items on this list.

  • Manages a variety of projects simultaneously. Responsible for preparing project plans, prioritizing tasks, and resources to achieve project objectives, and ensuring adequate communication is maintained regarding project status and priorities. In addition, facilitated project team meetings.
  • Support the management team in maintaining a high level of awareness of project issues, risks, project status, and critical path deliverables within the overall project schedule and define requirements, establish project objectives, and define process achievements. Anticipate issues and act proactively to address potential issues.
  • Gather and update project materials, project documentation, business flows, and lessons learned documents.
  • Remains knowledgeable of innovative business technology and company business operations.
  • As the need arises, develops, and leads all aspects of the documentation of systems and project deliverables.
  • Provide project management process support by:
  • Managing several concurrent high-transparency projects in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple business divisions.
  • Using good judgment and skill to develop a project management approach that is suitable for planning and managing the effort to achieve the project goals within designated project constraints in situations that require a hybrid Agile approach.
  • Assisting and advising leaders, managers, and teams to the best use of project management disciplines and approaches.
  • Maintaining processes to ensure project management documentation, reports, and plans are relevant, accurate, and complete
  • Assisting in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; enhancing interpersonal resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team members
  • Providing management Prioritization Utilization and Capacity Forecasting for projects being managed.
  • Supervising the Prioritization Utilization and Capacity Forecasting to ensure resources are committed appropriately.
  • Provide customer success process support by:
  • Assisting with the timely resolution of client support tickets submitted via Zendesk through the facilitation of resource allocation and internal and external communication
  • Developing and regularly updating a client support roadmap for each 601A client; working with 601A clients to prioritize business needs
  • Serving as a resource in the development and creation of business reviews, customer success plans, and training materials

Education and/or Experience

Four-year college diploma or university degree in business, or project management preferred. PMP, or equivalent preferred. 5 years of experience in project management and meaningful exposure to project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, Agile, etc. Solid understanding of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, and software development documentation and tracking tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, etc.
