The Purpose:

To welcome all Manchester United Museum & Tours visitors and provide support with bookings, upselling of merchandise and answering queries. To be a brand ambassador for Manchester United and to adhere to all operational, health & safety and security procedures.

The Role:

  • To deliver the highest standards of customer service to all our guests, acknowledging the variety of languages and cultures that make up our visitor numbers.

  • To use the department’s booking system to process bookings, new sales and booking alterations.

  • To always ensure the security of tour attendees, as well as the security of the stadium.

  • To engage with guests regarding the exhibits and exhibitions as they pass through the Museum.

  • To help supervise the flow of visitors in the Museum.

  • To always ensure the Museum is presentable, clean, and tidy.

  • To upsell all ancillary Museum & Tours products and cross sell other venue related products.

Any other duties as reasonably requested by a manager.

The Person:

  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service by resolving queries and complaints quickly and effectively.

  • Ability to connect and engage with a wide variety of people.

  • Exemplary customer service skills gained within customer focused environments.

  • High standards of personal presentation.

  • Evolving knowledge of the history of Manchester United Football Club and the competitions it competes in.

  • Proven ability to remain calm under pressure and a strong ‘can do’ work ethic.

  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently or as part of a team as required.

  • Basic levels of English and Maths.
