Job Title: Supervisor- Authentic Merchandise Sales

Job Summary: The Authentics Merchandise Sales Supervisor is responsible for providing high quality execution and service for the Royals Authentics Store, as well as overseeing many day-to-day tasks. Duties will include driving non-game day sales through emails and managing our e-commerce shops provided by MLBAM. Duties will also include home game responsibilities for all regular season games and postseason games if necessary.

Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Assist in input of new inventory, as well as managing current inventory.
  • Create weekly auctions on royals.com/auctions to drive non-game day sales.
  • Manage online shop and auction inventory.
  • Oversee the Royals Authentics email account by providing customer service to inquiring fans.
  • Use expertise of MLB Authentication Program and general baseball knowledge to sell.
  • Process and fulfill all online purchases.
  • Promote MLB Authentication Program directly with customers.
  • Assist in management of part-time staff when necessary.
  • Bring new ideas to the table to create unique product offerings.

Position Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in: Marketing, Business, or Sports Management preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Royals and Major League Baseball preferred.
  • At least five years retail management experience.
  • Strong organizational skills, excellent customer service.
  • Desire to be a sales leader.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes home games, nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
  • Able to work in a high-pressure environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work as a team player.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift items weighing as much as 15 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for majority of workday
  • Must be able to be productive utilizing a computer keyboard and telephone
  • Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus
  • Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, concourse, etc.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling

This role is a Part-Time, Non-Exempt opportunity that is not eligible for Company Benefits, 401K, and PTO. The schedule for this position is dependent on our team schedule and is subject to change.
