Youth Engagement Officer – Premier League Inspires & Made in Fulham
(35 Hour Contract)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and inspiring Youth Engagement Officer to join the Foundation team, with responsibility for supporting the development, coordination and delivery of 2 programmes, Premier League Inspires and Made in Fulham.
The Premier League Inspires programme is a targeted intervention that engages young people who are struggling at school or are at risk of being excluded. Working with the programme lead, you will support young people through mentoring, social action, delivering a qualification, and by providing them real world learning opportunities to inspire and reengage them at school.
Made in Fulham is a programme supported by the Premier League and Professional Footballer’s Association, which supports aspiring coaches with their first steps into a coaching career. To date the programme has supported 81% of its participants into education/training/employment.
The post holder will be required to mentor participants, plan and deliver sport and classroom-based activities and support relationships with internal and external partners. They will require the ability to connect with a wide range of people, work under pressure and manage their own workloads. They will also be motivated and eager to support young people to achieve their potential.
Candidates must have the following qualifications (in date) and experience, as a minimum:
- FA Level 1 Qualification
- FA Safeguarding Children Certificate
- FA First Aid Certificate
- Experience of mentoring and supporting the development of young people.
The closing date for applications will be Sunday the 6th of October, with interviews taking place the following week.
