Communications Officer

Position Purpose:

  • To support the communication and promotion of all Fulham FC Foundation activities.
  • To lead on the creation of news stories, email marketing and flyers for all Fulham FC Foundation activities.
  • To manage the various social media channels operated by Fulham FC Foundation.
  • To support Fulham FC Foundation’s fundraising efforts through compelling, impact-based communications.

Responsibilities:

  • To deliver high quality and relevant social media content for Foundation channels.
  • To manage their diary to attend Foundation sessions across a seven day week, including after-hours.
  • To support the operations of the Business Development and Communications team in regards to collateral for events, fundraising, reporting and promotion.
  • To support the marketing and promotional needs of the Operations team through content capture, storage and publication processes.
  • To consistently support the remainder of the organisation in delivering high quality customer service.
  • To evaluate and monitor the impact of Fulham FC Foundation communications via social media and regularly report this to the wider Fulham FC Foundation team.
  • To manage Fulham FC Foundation’s paid online media campaigns via Meta and Google AdWords.
  • To aid the development of fundraising events and activities that generate income for Fulham FC Foundation.
  • To attend internal and external meetings as appropriate, creating strong relationships with key partners.
  • To support the smooth function of Fulham FC Foundation in line with our values and targets.

• To be clear about the Foundation’s responsibilities when running activities for these groups;

• Will have read and understood the suite of safeguarding policies including safeguarding children policy, adults at risk policy, anti-bullying policy, whistleblowing and equality policy;

• Understand and promote staff and players code of conduct;

• Will understand how to refer a concern;

• To be consistent role models;

• To complete the Fulham Safer Working Practice Workshop as part of induction and the FA Safeguarding Children workshop; and

• To monitor repeated incidents of poor behaviour and liaise with their DSO or Head of Safeguarding.
