Commis Chef Training Ground Trainee

GENERAL

We are looking to recruit a commis chef trainee with basic kitchen skills that can be developed over time as progression within the business. Working closely with the chefs and rest of the kitchen team at all times as part of this development This is a trainee role so no previous experience is necessary but successful applicant must have an enthusiasm for food and nutrition within an elite sporting environment. As this is a trainee position it will include washing up and cleaning duties when needed and will not solely be food preparation.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing ingredients for dishes and working on knife skills

  • Basic cooking

  • Understanding processes and how menus are put together particulaly in the build up to games

  • Overseeing delivieries and taking inventory

  • Organising and basic cleaning in the kitchen

  • Communicating with chefs and supervisor to ensure all tasks are completed correctly, on time and well presented

  • Preparing food on team coaches if required-requires travel

  • Washing up and cleaning when needed as part of the trainee role

• Will have read and understood the suite of safeguarding policies including safeguarding children policy, adults at risk

policy, anti-bullying policy, whistleblowing and equality policy;

• Understand and promote staff and players code of conduct;

• Will understand how to refer a concern;

• To be consistent role models;

• To complete the Fulham safer Working Practice Workshop as part of induction and the FA Safeguarding Children

workshop; and

• To monitor repeated incidents of poor behaviour and liaise with their DSO or Head of Safeguarding
