Manager, Host City Rights Management, FIFA World Cup 2026

Reporting organisationally to the Director of Host City Rights Management, the Host City Rights Manager will be a key member of the FIFA26 Host City Management team, and work in close collaboration with the Commercial Operations team and other key individuals responsible for ensuring all rights granted by FIFA to Host Cities are executed and managed accordingly.

THE POSITION

The main responsibilities and oversights of the Host City Rights Manager for the FIFA World Cup 2026β„’ include:

  • Working with Host Cities and their sponsors to ensure all contractual obligations are met through effective coordination and successful implementation of Host City commercial activities
  • Manage the commercial activities of the Host Cities ensuring all commercial partners follow the parameters agreed and approved by FIFA
  • Ensure that any Official Host City Supporter deals are contracted by and signed off by FIFA
  • Establish and manage the administration of working groups with all stakeholders establishing mechanisms to manage and resolve issues.
  • Create cross-collaborative environment with FIFA Commercial Sales and Partnerships, Legal, Licensing & Retail, Brand, Marketing, FIFA Studios, Digital, Communications, Fan Festivals, amongst others.
  • Ensure that all branding opportunities are placed accurately with the right Commercial Affiliates across all Host City activations.
  • Ensure that FIFA rights and assets are leveraged correctly and work with FIFA functional areas & Host Committees to build auxiliary events and revenue opportunities
  • Work with Host Cities and FIFA Commercial Sales & Partnership teams to build out commercial rights to be granted to or by Host Cities. Assist on securing local supporters to help Host Cities fundraise and facilitate approval by FIFA on any extended rights and assets.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role with a focus on sponsorship
  • Proven track-record in managing complex projects
  • Experience in the Sports industry an advantage
  • International or experience working in organizations with international offices/staff
  • Mid-level management experience
  • Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
