Job Summary:
Members of the Authentics Event Staff are valuable members of the Tigers Authentics Team. Event staff members help execute Authentics events from start to finish, as well as staff the Authentics Shop during Tigers home games and special events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staffing the Tigers Authentics Shop at Comerica Park during Tigers home games and special events
- Assisting in all aspects of the club’s Authentics operations, including inventory, sales, and special events
- Organizing and maintaining Authentics inventory
- Setting up, stocking, and maintaining organization in the Authentics Shop on concourse as well as Authentics points of sale throughout Comerica Park
- Discretely collecting authenticated items post-game from authenticators
- Other duties as assigned
- Work Tigers home games, evenings, holidays, and weekends
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- College sophomore, junior or senior with studies related to business, sport management, retail management or similar field
- A desire to work in sports in a position that may lead to a future internship
- The ideal candidate must have excellent customer service skills
- Previous experience working in sports, retail management or related field is preferred
- Knowledge of the history of baseball, game of baseball and Tigers baseball is preferred
- Excellent communication, computer, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
- The ideal candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ideal candidate must be willing to work longs hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Working Conditions:
- Seasonal part-time on game days and other select dates.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to work long hours.
- Must be willing to work in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift, carry and move heavy boxes as part of setting up sales and maintaining inventory.
