POSITION OVERVIEW:
This is more than a job; it is an opportunity to be a part of big ideas that can be experienced globally. The Associate Creative Director will support brand development, concept ideation, design and print production across the Creative Services & Marketing team. This role will lead a dynamic team of creatives in the development of marketing assets across multiple channels โ Digital, Social, TV, Print, in-game, interactive, printed materials, etc. for the New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center brands. This role must possess strong leadership skills, superior attention to detail, strong organizational skills, impeccable design judgment, high emotional intelligence, time management skills, print production experience, as well as a passion for sports and entertainment.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE BELOW:
ยท Be a main contributor on creative initiatives, including brand identity and logo development, team campaign development, event development, presentation development, sales driving activations, in-game and arena experiences, apparel design, digital advertising and social engagemen
ยท Collaborate with the broader marketing team to infuse creativity and creative problem solving into various aspects of marketing
ยท Conceptualize and develop big and innovative creative ideas that can live across multiple channels and platforms
ยท Lead all Direct Reports across all properties to ensure creative executions meet or exceed predetermined objectives and strategies, based on creative briefs
ยท Oversee and manage the print production department to ensure high quality deliverables
ยท Serve as Brand Ambassador communicating proper logo usage and brand standards to both internal and external clients
ยท Grow the New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center brands via creative marketing & design leadership, innovative concepts, tactics & maintaining guidelines & tools
ยท Provide quality assurance over all creative deliverables
ยท Contribute to the development of the Creative Team's culture and quality design standards
ยท Provide oversight and elevate brand photography to maintain a compelling library of brand assets
ยท All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
ยท 7-9 years of experience in an advertising agency, marketing firm, or design agency
ยท Experience producing TV, Radio, Print, OOH, Digital/Social, & interactive design solutions
ยท Management experience, leading an internal design studio or small creative team
ยท Highly proficient in: Photoshop, InDesign, PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator. Keynote, motion graphics, and copywriting skills a plus
ยท A well-rounded portfolio of conceptual work, with strong design, color balance, photography, logo and typography skills
ยท Self-starter personality with enthusiastic, โcan doโ attitude in accepting work/new challenges
ยท Ability to respond to a brief with a strategic creative solution that can be translated across channels
ยท Proven experience overseeing ideas from inception to launch, and through production
ยท Ability to take feedback and input and develop solutions that maintain the integrity of the ideas
ยท Ability to easily articulate design decisions and provide rationale
ยท History of self-initiated projects
ยท Understands user-experience design and content strategy
ยท Robust understanding of the design principles to driving results in an online environment
ยท Experience working collaboratively across multiple departments
ยท Ability to lead cross-functionally
ยท Possess excellent interpersonal skills
ยท Experience and passion for sports and entertainment industry preferred
