Are you ready to join the PROS? The Detroit Pistons Rotational Opportunity is a nine-month graduate rotational program focused on developing well rounded talent through an immersive learning experience!

As the HBCU Graduate Associate - Retail/Brand Marketing, you will learn the core proficiencies of retail and brand marketing throughout our Graduate Associate rotational program! Associates will spend 4 - 5 months in two different departments throughout their vertical focus. We are seeking a team member with a positive, upbeat outlook that can lead and connect with a diverse population!

What youโ€™ll be doing:


  • Assist in planning and execution of in-season collection launches, retail, brand activations and events.
  • Work on research for standard processes around product, consumer performance, retail and digital marketing strategy.
  • Assist in activation, pop-up and event projects along with inventory management and organization for internal needs and in Pistons313Shop @ Plum Market.
  • Assist in placing creative orders & participate in all marketing and design brainstorms for upcoming retail collaborations and launches.
  • Helps developing new activation, product and campaign ideas and key areas of retail growth.


  • Assist in planning and execution of in-season experiential event activations supporting marketing teams
  • Work alongside brand team in driving season giveaway and theme night calendars
  • See through key gifting executions from start to finish; develop creative solutions for gifting packaging, unique items and small business inclusion as it relates to influencer, partner and player gifting.
  • Assist in placing creative orders, event space booking, photography requests and following other internal processes as assigned
  • Support all aspects of the retail, influencer, brand & event marketing vertical as needed

What weโ€™re looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree required from a HBCU in a related field
  • Relevant work experience related to the Digital Marketing departments
  • Must be flexible, eager to learn and have strong organization skills
  • Hard-working, self-improvers who are hungry, proactive, and possess a positive attitude.
  • Preferred experience in graphic design, creative development, event planning or marketing
