Concacaf serves as the governing body of football in this part of the world. POSITION PURPOSE:
The Venue Operations Administrator is responsible for ensuring that all venue preparations for Concacaf Centralized Competitions are done according to the confederation’s standards. This role oversees and coordinates all aspects of venue readiness, ensuring smooth venue operations, and maintaining high standards of Concacaf international matches/competitions, as well as providing operational and administrative support in planning site visits, identifying training sites, working with staff and third parties in the venue, and host-venues bidding processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Support the preparation of Venue Operations Guides for all Concacaf Centralized Competitions.
  • Development, standardization, and implementation of various event management tools, administrative and operational procedures, and any other Venue Operations-related needs.
  • Support the Competitions Lead in setting up daily activities program per competition.
  • Create synergies and alignments between all Concacaf Departments to ensure all requirements can be met at the venues.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between different departments and stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve administrative and operational processes related to venue preparations.
  • Lead accreditation implementation for all Concacaf Centralized Competitions.
  • Standardize development of venue maps and operational signage for all Concacaf Centralized Competitions.
  • Assist in different Request for Proposal (RFP) projects.
  • Collaborate with all Concacaf Member Associations to ensure stadiums/facilities meet requirements to host international matches/competitions.
  • Follow all Concacaf procedures (e.g. Legal, IT, Finance and others) in relation to venue operations.
  • Manage relationships with stadium representatives in the Concacaf region.
  • Assist on the contractual process of the stadium and training sites for all Centralized Competitions.
  • Support the Football Division with activities and tasks as assigned, including Venue Operations workshops and competition management.
  • Provide guidance to Concacaf Member Associations on the implementation of the Concacaf Stadium Guidelines.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that s/he can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports management or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in the sports industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint), Microsoft Project or other project management software a plus.
  • Understanding of football regulations, stadium infrastructure and pitch management
  • Strong project management, strategic thinking, and organizational skills with the ability to be part of multiple high-priority and time-sensitive projects.
  • Excellent oral and written communication. Ideal candidate is bilingual (English/French or Spanish)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven track record working with internal and external stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Creativity and ability to think outside the box.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information is critical and professionalism in dealing with others both inside and outside of the confederation is a must.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow in a multicultural environment with timely and sound decisions.
  • Flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and able to operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidate must have the flexibility to travel nationally and internationally for the performance of his/her duties. Approximately travel requirement: 60%

Due to the cyclical nature of the sports and entertainment industry, the employee may be required to work varying schedules including game nights to reflect the business needs of the company.
