Minor League Clubhouse and Equipment Assistant Manager

Position Summary:

Support all aspect of the clubhouse as a seasonal part-time employee. During Spring Training, Extended Spring Training, and the Minor League season, this position will support all aspect of the clubhouse. Duties range from field setup and break down, laundry service, daily cleaning and stocking, and other duties needed to support the team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prep fields for practice and games, including set up machines
  • Work scheduled games throughout the season
  • Assist with distribution of laundry throughout the day as well as post practice and games
  • Daily cleaning of the clubhouse, laundry room and other areas of the building
  • Post practice cleanup of fields and dugouts
  • Assist with all duties as needed and assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Bilingual: English and Spanish desired
  • High School degree preferred
  • Ability to take directions, work independently, work proactively
  • Previous clubhouse experience desired
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older

Working Conditions/ Work Schedule:

  • Work Schedule:
    • This position could assist with Spring Training, as well as Extended Spring Training the ACL season
    • Hours can be long and into the night, working weekends and holidays
  • Working conditions:
    • Move throughout the clubhouse and field areas to access equipment, supplies, and other tools 90% of the time.
    • Set up and break down field equipment, operate hand tools and machinery, and perform manual labor tasks as needed 100% of the time.
    • Ascend/descend ladders to support field setup, clubhouse maintenance, and other related tasks 75% of the time.
    • Communicate clearly and exchange accurate information to support team operations 100% of the time.
    • Observe and assess field and clubhouse areas at close range (within a few feet of work areas) 50% of the time.
    • Lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, 75% of the time.
    • Push, pull, or maneuver items ranging in weight from 30-300 pounds (with additional support or devices) 75% of the time.
    • Carry and climb ladders, work at heights, balance, stoop, and kneel as necessary to complete tasks 75% of the time.
    • Work at heights on ladders and lifts as required.
    • Regular exposure to all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold, based on the team’s schedule and seasonal requirements.

COMPENSATION:

  • $14.70 per hour, eligible for overtime
  • This is a temporary seasonal status, part-time position not eligible for all company benefits
