JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the 'Marketing Director', the 'Marketing Coordinator' helps manage and/or support community events, promotional items, and theme-night based activations throughout the calendar year for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Key focus areas include the planning and execution of Cavs 'All-For-Fun Tour', promotional giveaway planning and execution, as well as concourse and game night activations. We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate marketing professional interested in planning and executing marketing activations across the calendar year. This professional will support revenue and lead generation efforts.
- Candidates MUST have flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and occasional Holidays.
- Candidates MUST be avaliable to start in this role BEFORE May 1st, 2025. Candidates who cannot start until after May 1st, 2025 will be disqualified from consideration.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversight and Execution of Grassroots (community events) programming:
- Programs include 'All For Fun Tour', Watch Parties, and pep rallies.
- Schedule and staff roughly 30 'All For Fun Tour' activations, approximately April – October.
- Attend up to 75% of 'All For Fun Tour' activations to ensure successful program, capture proof of performance, etc.
- Promotional Giveaways & Specialty Giveaways:
- Lead, source, order, and execute all promotional giveaways and specialty giveaways for each season and post-season.
- Interface with cross-department leaders and stakeholders for approvals and timelines in connection to giveaways.
- Be onsite for all promotional giveaway game nights ensuring smooth distribution and communication with Guest Experience team.
- Source giveaways and promos for grassroots efforts, such as 'All for Fun Tour', watch parties, and pep rallies.
- Source giveaways for affinity programs such as 'Kid’s Club', 'Jr. Reporter' in collaboration with teammates.
- Theme Night Support:
- Leadership of up to two theme nights as determined by the Marketing Director.
- Support efforts tied to any promotional giveaways or specialty bobble/promo ticket packages aligned with theme nights.
- Manage Autograph Inventory and sessions with support from the marketing seasonal assistant.
- Support other Marketing team promotions, activations, and projects as needed, working closely with the Sr. Marketing Coordinator and Marketing Seasonal Assistant.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- 1+ year(s) of experience in marketing strategy, preferably in sports or entertainment industry.
- Consistent attendance at department/company events and games including weekdays, weekends, and occasional holidays.
- A track record of creativity, solutions, and ability to meet set goals.
- Ability to work under demanding deadlines and within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to build trusted relationships and influence across all levels both internally and externally.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in professional sports, preferably in the NBA.
- Proficiency in event and marketing activations.
- Knowledge of the Cleveland market and Cavaliers fan base.
