JOB TITLE: Player Liaison Assistant
DEPARTMENT: 1ST Team Welfare
JOB FUNCTION: Responsibility to ensure the needs are met of all 1st team squad players & elite u21 players on a daily basis.
LOCATION: Cobham Training ground and Stamford Bridge as necessary.
CONTRACT: Permanent, 40 hours per week 5 days out of 7 days following the 1st Team schedule.
PLAY YOUR PART (Main Responsibilities):
- Meeting the needs of 1st Team Players & elite u21 players.
- General assistance to 1st team players and senior management at the training ground and following the 1st Team calendar.
- Be on call 24/7 on the phone to deal with any welfare issues from elite u21 players.
- Assist in the on boarding of elite u21 players and being their first point of call for welfare issues during their time at the club.
- As required and directed by HOD, lead on elite u21 players and trialists out of hours programmes when they first visit the club.
- Coordinating all signing requests on behalf of Players and staff based at Cobham. I.e. shirts, pictures etc. Tracking requests with a monthly log/report.
- Running errands on behalf of the department or Cobham training ground.
- Assistance to 1st Team players & elite u21 players as required especially those that English may be of a second language and/or new to the club during the onboarding process.
- Assist in driving new 1st Team players & elite u21 players to training in their onboarding process.
- Assist with players post to make sure all mail is acknowledged and appropriate responses are sent to fans.
- Cover the training ground main reception during weekend training sessions and at least one other day a week.
- As required and directed by HOD lead on welfare issues for French speaking players and their families.
2. Co-ordinating Maintenance issues
- Lead on all office filing keeping all players/management on line files up to date using internal record system.
- Asist in making sure all players/management utility bills are current and up to date.
- Lead on all player/management car hand ups both leasing or owned vehicles.
- Maintain files to know and carry out when player/management cars need annual servicing and MOT’s.
- Lead on all paying of driving/parking fines and any bailiff summons and deduct then process deduction from salaries.
- Work all home matches to assist in family area and all associated arising family welfare issues.
- Run the internal post of Cobham to Stamford Bridge at least twice a week or more as appropriate.
- Lead on all players and management ordering from the club shop.
- Must be bilingual (English & French or Spanish)
