JOB TITLE: Lead Area Scout – Midlands

JOB FUNCTION: To provide accurate and actionable information on external players for the purposes of player recruitment, utilising an extensive knowledge and networks within the local area, scouting of matches and provision of reports.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Scouting

  • Attend live matches and watch games by video, to produce reports in line with the CFC reporting procedures and timeframes
  • Provide player recommendations for the Midlands in line with the CFC procedures and timeframes

Area Management

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the football environment and player base within the Midlands
  • Develop and maintain a strong network of contacts within clubs in the Midlands including Sports Directors, Scouts, Academy Managers, Coaches, Agents, and other key stakeholders

Recruitment

  • Maintain up to date knowledge on the in-house players at Chelsea FC from U14-U21
  • Undertake video clipping of recommended players within the area and the production of documentation to assist the recruitment process when required

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Qualifications:

  • Valid Passport and driving licence
  • Minimum of FA Level 2 Talent ID Qualification
  • Fluent in English

Experience:

  • Extensive experience scouting at a professional level, including management of a region or project.
  • Experience in highlighting and pushing academy talents
  • Extensive knowledge of the geographic area including culture, legislation, and football market
