The Carolina Hurricanes marketing department is hiring a Digital Marketing Coordinator to help the organization increase fan engagement, grow the team’s database, and drive revenue. The ideal candidate is an excellent copywriter with experience in email marketing and SMS marketing with strong organizational skills.

  • Plan, build, and send marketing emails, text messages, and mobile app notifications to Hurricanes fans for the purpose of promoting fan engagement and revenue generation
  • Plan and build lead generation activations to be used online, in-arena, and in-person
  • Manage the Carolina Hurricanes mobile app, including but not limited to sending push notifications, updating pages and sections, building new pages and sections, and enhancing the overall fan experience
  • Assist in creating the strategy and implementation of paid advertising efforts, including but not limited to social media, display, SEO, radio, TV, OOH, and experiential
  • Other duties as assigned
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in marketing or advertising is preferred
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of the Carolina Hurricanes and the sport of hockey
  • Basic understanding of email marketing and text messaging best practices
  • Previous experience managing a mobile app is preferred but not required
  • Previous experience with Salesforce is a plus but not required
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Must pass a criminal background check

This will be a non-exempt hourly position
