The Carolina Hurricanes Foundation strives to meet the health and education needs of children, with a focus on underserved populations and strengthening youth hockey in our communities.
This role will oversee the day-to-day management of the Carolina Hurricanes Foundation. The work of the Hurricanes Foundation is a key element in the franchise’s effort to help address community challenges while continuing to promote access to the Hurricanes and the game of hockey. The Foundation provides the organization with the means to deepen and strengthen its ties to the community through visible and high-impact charitable activities.
This position is responsible for leading all aspects of the foundation’s community-centric activities, including fundraising, grant-making, community outreach, and volunteerism. The position requires an active and visible presence in the community.
This role requires skills in event management, budgeting, grant-making, grant presentation, in-game fundraising, and brand-raising activities. The Executive Director is responsible for communicating with the Foundation Board of Directors through regularly scheduled meetings and communications. The Executive Director is also responsible for telling the Foundation’s story to fans and community leaders while serving as a liaison for the organization with various community, corporate, and government organizations.
