Payroll Administrator - (On-site)

THE POSITION

Reporting to the Supervisor, Payroll and Benefits the individual will be responsible for the thorough and accurate processing of the bi-weekly part-time payroll.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Administration

  • Manage post-payroll activities for the bi-weekly part-time payroll:
    • Create and process wire payments
    • EFT uploads; third party wire payments
    • Payroll journal entries
  • Provide support to the Payroll Specialist;
  • Ensure position processes are documented and updated as required;
  • Support and execute project related work as requested by the Payroll Specialist and/or the Supervisor, Payroll and Benefits.

Payroll & Benefits

  • Ensure accurate reporting in UKG Workforce Management;
  • Manage and process time & attendance for part-time employees;
  • Manage and process bi-weekly part-time payroll in UKG Pro;
  • Respond to Service Canada inquiries;
  • Process CRA garnishments and requests;
  • Support various Leaves of Absences (LOA) and Return to Work (RTW) for part-time employees.

Program Management

  • Provide support to Payroll Specialist for the Taxable Ticket Program;
  • Execute and prepare Employer Match RRSP program for part-time employees;
  • All other duties as assigned.

THE INDIVIDUAL

The ideal candidate will have the following background:

  • 5-7 years’ experience in payroll process and administration;
  • Must have strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy; with the ability to work independently;
  • Proficiency with HCM systems, preference for UKG experience;
  • Solid knowledge of Excel – formulas, pivot tables, charts
  • Must be able to handle confidential information in an ethical and professional manner;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, while maintaining relationships with all employees;
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, time management and execution skills;
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing needs of the organization, while handling stressful situations with professionalism.

Certifications

  • PCP designation is required.
