Registered Nurse at Orioles Park at Camden Yards
Reports to: Nursing Manager
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland
- 2 years of experience as a RN, at least 1 year of adult critical care, emergency nursing preferred
- CPR certified
- ACLS/PALS recommended
Job Description:
A Registered Nurse works as part of the first aid team along with an emergency physician and other healthcare professionals to provide medical care to patients for various types of illnesses or injuries that may occur while at the ballpark. Must be able to recognize and initiate treatment for possible life threatening conditions or injuries. Should be knowledgeable in both adult and the pediatric population.
Job Responsibilities:
Including but not limited to:
- Completes first aid form
- Obtain vital signs, if indicated
- Controls bleeding, cleanses, treats and bandages simple wounds
- Administer over the counter medications, after obtaining allergy status
- Provides oral hydration for heat related illnesses
- Maintains proper supplies and medical equipment
- Performs CPR, if indicated
- Performs triage of patients
- Provide basic first aid
- Proficient in using emergency equipment (EKG, defibrillator, etc.)
- Upholds HIPPA regulations
- Able to use walkie-talkie appropriately
Specific Requirements:
- Qualified candidates are expected to be available to work for a majority of the 81 game schedule (evenings and weekends from late March through September)
