Job Title: Manager, Community Development
Reports To: Senior Vice President, Community Development & Communications
Department: Community Development & Communications
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee Senior Coordinator(s) and Assistants, Community Development
- Manage development, planning, and execution of community initiatives and projects, working with department staff to achieve organizational and department goals
- Provide oversight for community development components of club corporate social responsibility programs
- Liaise with Public Relations and Creative Content on messaging and storytelling components of community programs
- Liaise with Ballpark Operations as it relates to execution of Orioles Authentics
- Coordinate with Player & Family Relations and Alumni Relations regarding community development initiatives with players and alumni
- Ensure viability of community programs through revenue generated by Corporate Partnerships and/or ticket sales
- Liaise with nonprofit partners regarding club community initiatives
- Coordinate with MLB and various Orioles departments on community programs
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs Degree and 3-5 years of experience in community relations, non-profit or event coordination
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks
- Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint are required
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be organized and detail oriented
- Must be a team player and able to adapt to change
- Ability to work long hours, holidays, and weekends
