MASCOT ASSISTANT

Role Overview:

The Mascot Assistant is responsible for assisting the Mascot Manager in their responsibilities around the year, operating as a handler or mascot on gamedays, assistant on non-gamedays, and as a backup performer when necessary.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist Blooper in all responsibilities for each Braves home game.
  • When applicable, assist Blooper/Mascot Manager in navigating non-gameday schedule including but not limited to outside appearances and school shows.
  • When applicable, assist Blooper/Mascot Manager in creative tasks including developing social content and daily routines
  • Perform as mascot as needed/appropriate.

Role Qualifications (Skills/Experience/Capabilities):

  • Previous mascot experience is required
  • Experience in warm environments is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of the Braves and baseball
  • Knowledge of Blooper lore
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Represent the Braves in a positive manner. Constantly act as a Braves Ambassador
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, dedication, and reliability.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
  • Must be available for all home games during the season; including games that may fall on holidays.
  • Availability for potential playoff home games required as well.
  • Beyond gamedays, responsibilities will be performed on an as-needed basis.
  • Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs. in a variety of environments.
  • Must be able to move equipment on gamedays around Truist Park.
  • Candidate height requirement for this position must range between 5’10” and 6’2”
