The Washington Commanders are hiring a Manager, Accounts Payable responsible for performing and managing varied payable functions. Functions include, but are not limited to, account reconciliation, improve efficiencies through process implementation, and maintaining professional relationship with vendors.
Major duties and responsibilities:
- Supervise and aid in the development of accounts payable team
· Ensure timely processing of invoices and payments
- Developing and implementing process improvements and automation to streamline accounts payable workflows
- Conduct high volume vendor and GL account reconciliations related to accounts payable
- Collaborate with other departments to help facilitate compliance with company policies
- Review and approve weekly AP transactions to ensure accuracy in coding
- Oversee vendor relationships and address any concerns or conflicts pertaining to payments or invoices.
- Assisting with vendor onboarding to ensure compliance with internal policies before payment
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes for accounts payable
- Provide assistance with audits and supply necessary documentation and support as required.
- Prepare and analyze accounts payable aging reports
- Prepare and assist in preparation of simple to complex tax forms
- Maintain and analyze vendor spend reports to include any minimum spend agreements, timeliness of invoice submissions and approvals, vendor service/product type, etc.
- Other projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance is required
- 5+ years of experience in accounts payable or related field
· Proven leadership and supervisory experience
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Dynamics 365 and Concur a plus)
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Adaptability and ability to manage responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Effective communicator both verbally and in writing
- Strong administrative and organization skills with attention to detail and follow-up required
Salary Range: $85,000-$95,000
