Our marketing internship program is designed to help students gain first-hand experience working in professional sports. As a Latino Marketing and Outreach Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting our efforts to connect with and engage the Latino community through the LosVGK brand. You will work closely with our marketing team and leadership to develop and implement culturally relevant strategies to effectively reach Hispanic/Latino audiences and increase brand awareness throughout the community.

Duties and Tasks

  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns targeting the Latino community, including but not limited to social media, content creation, and events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that marketing materials and messaging are culturally appropriate and resonate with Latino audiences.
  • Help plan and coordinate community outreach events and initiatives aimed at engaging with the Latino community.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns targeting Latino audiences, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Support the translation and transcreation of marketing materials and communications into Spanish, ensuring accuracy and cultural relevance.
  • Assist leadership team, sales team members and other departments as needed.
  • Assist with execution of team branded events.
  • Work to help grow the sport of hockey in the Hispanic / Latino community.

Job Requirements:

  • Fluent in both English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Able to work a minimum of 15 hours in the office. These hours may increase or decrease depending on the amount of home games and events.
  • Ability to work extended hours if needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate translations and cultural sensitivity in all communications.
  • Previous experience in marketing, content creation, and/or video editing is a plus but not required.
  • Be willing to lift/move up to 50lbs.

Learning Objectives

  • Gain a better understanding of all aspects of sports marketing including fan development.
  • Gain hands-on experience with marketing and fan development-based events in a professional sports environment.
  • Gain hands-on experience with marketing and fan development-based events geared towards the Spanish-speaking, Hispanic, and Latin-American community.
  • Network and learn about each team within the organization.
