Job Summary:

Come join the team! The Youth Intern will work as a member of the Youth Programs Department during the 2024-25 Utah Jazz and Utah Hockey Club seasons. As a part time employee, the intern will work with the Junior Jazz program, Utah Jazz Camps and Clinics, Utah Hockey Club youth initiatives and more. They will have the opportunity to assist in a variety of different events.


Primary Duties:

  • Assist in planning and execution of Junior Jazz and Utah Hockey Club parties and events
  • Assist in ticket distribution for all Junior Jazz partners
  • Work Jazz and Utah Hockey Club home games when Junior Jazz and youth hockey groups are in attendance
  • Assist with Utah Jazz Camps and Clinics registration, tickets, swag and other needs
  • Assist with planning, coordinating and implementing 3v3 Tournaments
  • Coordinate customer service for all youth participants and families via email and phone
  • Attend Jazz and hockey camps to help with onsite logistics
  • Assist in coaching at Utah Jazz and Utah Hockey Club Camps and Clinics
  • Assist in planning for future programming, initiatives and events
  • Support the building of a diverse culture that enriches the lives of our employees, customers, partners and communities

Qualifications:

  • Basketball coaching experience preferred
  • Hockey knowledge preferred
  • Experience working with kids
  • Available to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must have excellent follow through skills

Physical Requirements:

  • This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally
  • This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess
  • The person must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
