The primary purpose of the Inclusion & Belonging (I&B) Intern for the Utah Jazz is to partner with the I&B Manager and other collaborators to ensure that the company proactively embraces diversity, promotes a culture of belonging, and cultivates inclusive environments for the organization. This internship provides the opportunity to work on relevant projects that contribute to the organization’s success while developing personal and business insight. The right candidate will communicate well with collaborators across multiple teams, be a strong problem-solver, a quick learner, and possess the desire to leave a positive impact on both the organization and the community.

This is a part-time role averaging 20-25 hours per week with an opportunity to work hybrid.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Understand community dynamics to help educate employees with relevant insights, knowledge, and understanding of the diverse audiences that we serve
  • Review current practices and policies, assessing, and analyzing alignment with the I&B framework
  • Assist with developing and driving inclusion and belonging results, initiatives, and programs, by crafting, improving, and implementing programs and processes to champion employee engagement and retention
  • Accompany I&B Manager to networking events with local community partners to cultivate relationships and share standard processes
  • Participate in the Culture of Inclusion Committee initiatives and provide administrative support as needed
  • Provide production support for events and programming, including collaborating closely with vendors, project timelines, etc
  • Embrace a culture of inclusion and belonging where guests and team members feel welcomed, valued, and heard
  • Support People & Culture (HR) staff with administrative projects
  • Participate in intern program group projects, meetings, and events
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Highly skilled oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with Google Workspace preferred
  • Handle confidential information with a high level of professionalism and discretion
  • Phenomenal interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with staff at all levels
  • Proactive, flexible, and a strong decision-making ability
  • Excellent time management skills with a consistent track record of meeting deadlines

Physical Demands:

  • Position may require local travel
  • Position will require maneuvering throughout the practice facility and arena
  • This person must be able to effectively communicate
  • This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess
  • This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs
  • This person must be able to lift 20 lbs
