Job Title: Drumline -Buc Beat Line Department: Events & Entertainment

Reports To: Events & Entertainment Coordinator Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary:

The Drumline will work at all Tampa Bay Buccaneers home games in addition to large-scale events when deemed necessary. Drumline Members add to the overall game day and event atmosphere by engaging fans and feeding off the game's energy to pump up the fans for crucial moments throughout the game.

Core Functions:

  • Engage with fans to create a fun and energetic atmosphere throughout game day and events by performing as a member of the Buc Beat Line and demonstrating team spirit when appropriate.
  • Be attentive and ready to perform hits when directed during pre-game, in-game, halftime, and post-game elements.
  • Attend scheduled rehearsals (select weeknights and weekends) to learn music and choreography.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on game days and other events.
  • Other duties as assigned to enhance the overall game-day entertainment and event experience as deemed necessary or as directed by the Events & Entertainment Manager/Coordinator.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to read music and to learn new music selections and choreography, in a timely manner.
  • Must be lively, outgoing, enthusiastic, positive, hardworking, and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent in performing, entertaining, engaging, and interacting with individuals and in front of large crowds.
  • Flexible and capable in the ability to lead and be led.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with teammates/leads and Events & Entertainment Manager/Coordinator and be responsive to feedback.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Possess technical knowledge, and musical, and performance experience that aligns with the standards established by the Buccaneers.
  • Knowledge of drums, drumlines, and music.

Experience & Education:

  • 5+ years of musical education and experience, percussion preferred.
  • Experience as a member of an organized Drumline or other musical performance group.
  • Knowledge of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, NFL, Football preferred.

Work Environment:

The Company is a professional, fast-paced, creative business environment. Other environment conditions:

  • Must be able to work flexible hours for Game Days and Events (including weekends, nights, and holidays)
  • Must be able to work all Buccaneers home games.
  • Physical demands include running, lifting, standing for prolonged periods, and working long hours in a variety of weather conditions including humidity, rain, and intense heat, this position calls for a great deal of physical exertion.
  • Must be able to wear marching drums or hold cymbals for extended periods.
  • Ability to assist in set-up and breakdown which may require frequent lifting and/or carrying up to 50 pounds.
