Intern, Business Intelligence

The St. Louis Blues, Enterprise Center, and Stifel Theatre organization is seeking a Business Intelligence Intern. The intern will work closely with the BI team to develop skills with real world experience. Tasks may include projects focused on research, analytics, CRM, and interpreting data. The intern will learn practical application of data within a sports business environment and work through data processes from gathering and cleaning through analysis and presenting insights.

  • This is a part-time, paid position working 20-29 hours per week.
  • Rate of pay is $12.30/hr.
  • Internship Dates: Dates flexible, ideal start mid to end of May.
  • Open to remote.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conduct research to aid in the sales, retention, and evaluation processes for team partnerships
• Assist in all stages of analytics projects from data collection and preparation through visualization and presentation of findings
• Prospect and qualify leads for potential future partners
• Assist with manual data refreshes and data cleansing
• Learn the basics of CRM and sales pipeline management

Qualifications:
• Currently working towards (or recent graduate with) a bachelor’s degree in business, economics, mathematics, engineering or related field
• Ability to communicate statistical and analytical findings to a non-analytical audience
• Ability to identify patterns and points of interest in data
• Be self-motivated and able to work independently with a strong work ethic
• High proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work with confidential and sensitive data
• Have an interest in data and the business of sports
