Position Summary:

Are you looking to jump start your career in the NBA? The Birmingham Squadron is seeking a proactive and outgoing individual who can help forge connections with national brands and expand the business opportunities for the team in Birmingham, as a Partnership & Premium Account Executive. This highly motivated individual will help drive revenue through corporate partnerships and ticket sales.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and present customized sponsorship advertising proposals that may include signage, radio, digital/social, promotions and more
  • Work with Partnership and marketing activation Coordinator who will focus on the day-to-day activation once an account has been signed, to ensure all aspects of the contract have been met
  • Proactively reach out to potential sponsors through cold calling, networking, and other sales techniques.
  • Act as the main point of contact for sponsors, addressing inquiries and concerns.
  • Ensure the fulfillment of sponsorship deliverables and obligations.
  • Conduct presentations and meetings to pitch sponsorship opportunities.
  • Customize proposals based on the needs and objectives of potential sponsors.

What youโ€™ll bring:

  • Must be a team player who is enthusiastic about contributing to the organization
  • Strong passion for developing positive sales cultures and long-term growth of partnership team
  • Must be comfortable engaging with decision-makers and high level executives both over the phone and in person
  • Strong interpersonal skills within the office and the local community
  • Minimum 2 years in sales, preferably within sports and entertainment, focusing on high-end and corporate clients
  • Experience selling and negotiating with large corporate accounts
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service and resolution skills
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with clients and peers at all levels within an organization and throughout the community
  • Flexibility with changing priorities; ability to organize and prioritize workload
  • Available to work nights, weekends and holidays
